We managed to get some details regarding the upcoming and recently announced MSI Z87M Gaming motherboard based on Intel Z87 Express chipset and micro-ATX form factor.
As you already know, MSI equipped the new Z87M Gaming micro-ATX motherboard with quite a few Gaming series features including Gigabit Killer E2200 Ethernet as well as the Audio Boost and USB Audio Power features. Specification wise, the MSI Z87M Gaming is based on Intel's Z87 Express chipset with support for Intel socket 1150 CPUs, has four DDR3 memory slots, two PCI-Express x16 slots that can work in 16/0 or 8/8 mode, two PCI-Express x1 slots, six SATA 6Gbps ports, two eSATA ports, 7.1-channel audio, six USB 3.0 (two via header) and eight USB 2.0 (two via header) ports, two HDMI 1.4a and DisplayPort 1.2 outputs as well as MSI's OC Genie 4, ClrCMOS, Power and Reset on-board buttons, ClickBIOS 4 and Military Class 4 components.
The new MSI Z87M Gaming is definitely a great move for MSI to offer its Gaming series across the entire range on every Intel 8-series chipset and all form-factors. We also got a rather interesting hint that MSI still is not done and that we will see some rather impressive surprise pretty soon.
