Nvidia drops GTX 780 and GTX 770 prices

Buckles under pressure

Nvidia finally broke under pressure and decided to officially drop the price of its Geforce GTX 780 and the Geforce GTX 770 graphics cards. The decision most likely came as a result of recent sale results of the R9 290X which is practically selling like hotcakes and is out-of-stock in most retail/e-tail shops in almost every region.

According to our sources, Nvidia will be dropping the GTX 780 price from US $649 down to US $499 which is quite a substantial price drop in any book while the GTX 770 goes down from US $399 to US $329. Although the price cut is scheduled to be official tomorrow, some retailers/e-tailer in Europe and the UK have already jumped the gun and are selling its GTX 780 stock for around €430/£399.99 while the GTX 770 go for around €279/£239.72.

Nvidia's TWIMTBP holiday bundle, which includes Batman: Arkham Origins, Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Splinter Cell: Blacklist will also launch tomorrow together with the Geforce Experience 1.7 and the beta version of the Geforce Shadowplay that allows you to stream your gameplay. The TWIMTBP holiday bundle will give EU buyers of GTX 780, 770 760, 660, and most likely the GTX 780 Ti these three games for free.
