ADATA has announced the availability of its ultra-thin external solid state drive (SSD) with USB 3.0 interface, the DashDrive Elite SE720.

Based on an 8.9mm thick slim stainless steel chassis and SSD paired up with USB 3.0 interface, the new DashDrive Elite SE720 will offer read and write performance of up to 400MB/s and 300MB/s. The chassis is covered with protective layer that provides scratch resistance, prevents damage and allows long-term use and also comes with bright blue LED indicator for power and data transfer status.

The DashDrive Elite SE702 will be bundled with ADATA's "One touch backup" software feature for automatic backup and synchronization and has support for Windows To Go, a feature that allows users to boot any computer directly from the external SSD.

The DashDrive Elite SE702 will be available in 128 and 256GB capacities. Unfortunately, ADATA did not announce any details regarding the price of the new DashDrive Elite SE702.
