Scythe has announced a new mid-range CPU cooler that will initially be available in Japan but also might show up in the rest of the world eventually, the Kotetsu. Featuring a tower-design, the SCKTT-1000 features a large aluminum fin stack heatsink combined with four 8mm heatpipes and nickel-plated copper base.
The aluminum fin stack heatsink features a design with differently-aligned fins in order to increase turbulence and thus achieve better heat dissipation. Measuring 130x58x160mm with 480g weight, the new Kotetsu cooler apparently also comes bundled with Falcon 120, a 120mm PWM fan that spins between 400 and 1,400RPM, provides 79 CFM of airflow and produces maximum 28dBA of noise.
The new Kotetsu CPU cooler support all the latest Intel and AMD CPU sockets and currently sells in Japan for 3,480 JPY or around US $35.
