Although it has previously dropped the price of its Surface RT by US $150 in multiple stores around the world last month, Microsoft has now decided to permanent drop price for Surface RT bundles as well as its Touch Covers by as much US $50.

According to a report from Windows Phone Central, Surface RT bundles that includes the Surface RT and black Touch Cover will now cost US $50 less and as of today, the 32GB one will go for US $399 while 64GB version will sell for US $499. Although these prices still sound a bit too steep, it is definitely a move in the right direction.

Those that do not want the black Touch Cover or already own the Surface RT will be glad to know that Microsoft also dropped the price of the Touch Cover from previous US $119 down to US $79.99.

The previous "temporary" Surface Pro promotion that featured a US $100 price-cut will apparently be permanent and Surface Pro will still be available for US $799 for the 64GB and US $899 for the 128GB one.
