At the moment there is quite something going on over in Taipeh, since Comptuex 2013 has started now. After we wrote about the news Maximus VI Impact miniITX motherboard from ASUS there is now even more miniITX madness going on in Taiwan. With the Z87-I Deluxe it looks like ASUS is also displaying the official successor of the surprisingly successful P8Z77-I Deluxe.
At a first glance we can't see too many details but here is what we can see so far. Compared to the predecessor the layout of the new Z87-I Deluxe looks quite similar. Once more there is the additional daughter board mounted on the upper edge of the board which add additional phases to the power design. Overall there are no less then twelve phases on which the power design can rely. Furthermore there is quite an astonishing amount of SATA connectors on this board. There are no less than six connecotrs and thanks to the Z87 chipset those will all be 6Gpbs ports. Regarding the color scheme ASUS chose to go with black and gold. A closer look makes us guess that there are connectors for WiFi antennas.
Obiously we will keep you guy posten on updates regarding this board too.
