Geforce GTX 770 specs and price leaked

Could end up cheaper than expected

According to a leak at Tokyo's Akihabara retailers it appears that the upcoming Geforce GTX 770, schedule to officially launch tomorrow, might actually end up to be cheaper than expected as the currently listed price puts it at around US $400.

Although the Geforce GTX 770 is pretty much the rebranded GTX 680 it also features higher clocks and support for Nvidia GPU Boost 2.0. The reference GPU base clock ended up at 1046MHz, GPU Boost clock at 1085MHz while 2 or 4GB of GDDR5 memory works at impressive 1750MHz (7.0GHz effective). The GTX 770 needs 8+6-pin PCI-Express power connectors and has a TDP rated at 230W. The reference design will feature the same cooler seen on both the GTX 780 and the GTX Titan.

As noted earlier, the biggest surprise is the actual price sat at 40,000 Yen at Akihabara, which converts to around US $390-400. If the price proves to be precise, it will definitely put a lot of pressure on AMD's lineup and even hint at price cut for previous Nvidia models.
