During the past months, Biostar has unveiled several motherboards and graphics cards for crypto miners. With the TB250-BTC D+, the company unveils a motherboard that looks rather similar to the Colorful CB250A-BTC Plus V20. According to Techpowerup, this might be just a re-brand and an easy way for reach markets that aren't covered by Colorful.


According to Biostar, the TB250-BTC D+ is a professional crypto mining motherboard designed specifically for the Intel Skylake or Kaby Lake CPUs. In addition to standard features which can be found on other mainstream LGA1151 motherboards as well, this motherboard also includes a moisture proof PCB, electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection, low resistance mosfets and overvoltage protection.

So far Biostar is the only company that is offering both Intel- and AMD-based motherboards designed for crypto mining. The key feature of the TB250-BTC D+ motherboard are the eight PCIe 3.0 slots and the six 6-pin PCI-Express power connectors.

So far Biostar has not revealed details on pricing and availability on their TB250-BTC D+ motherboard.
