Nvidia uses telemetry in its latest Geforce drivers

There is a way to disable it

It has been noticed that Nvidia has enabled telemetry in its past few versions of Nvidia Geforce drivers that are installed by default, auto-run on Windows startup and does not appear to be in the list of install things during the custom installation. Luckily, there is a way to disable it.

According to a report from Majorgeeks.com, Nvidia telemetry components is indeed preset but it appears that this is a component specific for Geforce Experience, Nvidia Wireless Controller and Shadowplay component of the driver.

It could also mean that Nvidia is simply collecting crash-reports in order to improve its drivers but that is still to be confirmed.

For those that are concerned about privacy-issues, luckily, there is a way to disable those telemetry options.
