Gigabyte has updated its Aero 14 notebook with Nvidia GTX 1060 mobile GPU, making it both VR Ready as well as giving it a bit more power for the QHD IPS display.
Still featuring a 14-inch QHD 2560x1440 IPS, the Gigabyte Aero 14 certainly needed an update in the graphics department so the new Pascal-based GTX 1060 is certainly a welcomed addition. The new GPU also brought an ability to drive two external 4K display thanks to HDMI and mini DisplayPort outputs.
While it did get a new GPU, the rest of the specifications remained the same so it still packs an Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU, up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage, up to 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 94.2Wh battery capable of keeping it alive for around 10 hours. In case you missed it, the dimensions of the Aero 14 are set at 335x250x19.9mm (WxDxH) and it weight 1.89kg.
It also comes with three USB 3.0 and single USB 3.1 Type-C port.
Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any details regarding the price premium when compared to the previous GTX 970M version but we suspect it should be similar.
