The 5-bay storage with USB 3.0 Type-C port
Drobo has announced its newest addition to the Drobo storage solution lineup, the Drobo 5C USB-C Storage Solution, which uses USB 3.0 Type-C port for connection.
Similar in specifcations as the earlier available Drobo 5N, the new Drobo 5C does not use network connection but rather the USB 3.0 Type-C port. Thanks to the Drobo BeyondRAID technology, the unit actually setups RAID by its own allowing even beginner users to set up a working storage solution.
Featuring five bays with support for 3.5-inch SATA II/III HDDs or SSDs, the Drobo 5C has green, yellow and red indicator lights, which makes the troubleshooting quite easy.
The new Drobo 5C will be available soon with a price set at US $349.
