Gigabyte has unveiled a new Geforce GTX 1080 graphics card that will feature a custom water block as well as high-end custom PCB, the Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Waterforce WB.
Based on a completely custom PCB with 12+2-phase and the same capacitors and chokes used on Titan X Pascal graphics card, the new Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Waterforce WB draws power from two 8-pin PCIe power connectors and comes with a hefty factory-overclock.
The GPU works at 1759MHz base and 1898MHz GPU Boost clocks but also comes with an OC Mode, which takes those clocks up to 1784MHz base and 1936MHz for GPU Boost. According to Gigabyte, there is even a bit more overclocking headroom and the GPU should reach 2000MHz+ quite easily.
Since this is a completely custom PCB, Gigabyte also included two additional HDMI 2.0 connectors at the front of the PCB which can be used to connect VR headsets like the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
The water block itself also looks impressive with bare copper and Gigabyte's black and orange theme on the top with some LEDs that should add some more flare. It also comes with the full backplate made in the same black and orange theme.
Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date but we will surely keep an eye out for it.
