According to the latest report, AMD could actually launch its first Vega GPU architecture later this year, featuring the new 2nd generation High Bandwidth Memory (HBM2).

According to a report from Fudzilla.com, AMD Vega 10 GPU could debut before the end of this year. Unfortunately, it appears that the first graphics card with Vega GPU architecture will be aimed at professional market, rather than the consumer one, which should follow early next year.

This makes sense for AMD, especially since the Vega 10 GPU is expected to be paired up with 2nd generation High Bandwidth Memory (HBM2), same as Nvidia's Tesla P100.

The upcoming professional graphics card with Vega 10 GPU could end up with 16GB of HBM2, same as Tesla P100, but there is also a possibility that there will be a version with less memory.

Of course, AMD is also working on Vega 20 GPU, that will come after Vega 10 has launched and could be limited to consumer market.
