New Deus Ex won't get DX12 support at launch

Coming later in September

According to the latest information, it appears that Square Enix is not ready for DirectX 12 as its Deus Ex: Mankind Divided won't be getting support for the new API at launch but rather later in September.

While we already got all the details for upcoming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided game, including all the system requirements announced earlier this week, there is a bit more information coming from the developer.

Although expected during launch, it appears that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided won't have DirectX 12 API support when it launches on August 23rd. This means that the game will work in DirectX 11 mode and lack support for Asynchronous Compute.

According to a post over at Steam, the developer still have some extra work and optimizations in order for the game to work in DirectX 12 mode.

News aren't all bad as the developer was keen to note that the support for DirectX 12 is coming and should be ready in early September.
