It appears that today the NDA regarding additional information on the upcoming AMD Radeon RX 460 graphics cards has lifted. It's now that we finally know when these very aggressively priced cards will be avialable.
The guys at Videocardz have published another news on this topic, showing slides mentioning the specifications, the avilability date as well as some performance numbers. Regarding availability the slides don't only contain information on the RX 460, but also on the RX 470.
The slides published are part of an AMD presentation and therefore we can assume that this information is correct. In the case of the Radeon RX 470 cards shoould become available starting August 4th. Concerning the AMD Radeon RX 460 availabiliy should be granted by August 8th.
In other words this means that during the upcoming two weeks two very reasonably price pixel accelerators should become avialable. Keeping in mind that the already launched AMD Radeon RX 480 features an MSRP of $199US in the case of the 4GB version and $239US for the 8GB variant the RX 470 and RX 460 have to be quite a bit cheaper. For now it's expected that these cards might cost approximately $150US for and RX 470 and around $99US regarding the RX 460.
