ASUS unveils three new MG Series gaming monitors

The MG28UQ, MG24UQ and the MG248Q

ASUS has announced no less than three new MG Series gaming monitors that will feature Adaptive Sync technology, ASUS Display Widget, GamePlus and Eye Care technologies as well as the black and red color gaming scheme, the MG28UQ and MG24UQ 4K/UHD and the Full HD MG248Q gaming monitors.

The MG28UQ and the MG24UQ basically shares all the specifications, except for the size and the type of the panel. Both come with a 4K/UHD 3840x2160 resolution displays, offer Adaptive-Sync with up to 60Hz refresh rate over DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 inputs and come with a USB 3.0 ports.

The 28-inch MG28UQ features a 3840x2160 TN panel, which adds up to 157ppi and has 1ms response time. The 24-inch MG24UQ on the other hand, uses a 3840x2160 resolution IPS panel, adding up to 186ppi, has wider 178 degree viewing angles but slower 4ms response time. The rest of the specifications on both monitors include a stand with swivel, tilt, pivot and height adjustement and 2W stereo speakers.

The third new MG Series monitor from ASUS, the MG248Q, is a bit different, as it comes witha 24-inch Full HD 1920x1080 TN panel, offering 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. It is alos compatible with Nvidia's 3D Vision 2 kit and features dual-link DVI, DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI v1.4 outputs.

According to ASUS, the 4K/UHD MG28UQ and MG24UQ should be available immediately while the MG248Q will be available later this month. Unfortunately, ASUS did not reveal any details regarding the price.
