Phanteks lets you combine PSUs with Power Combo

When one PSU is not enough

Phanteks has unveiled the new Power Combo device which allows users to power a single system from two PSUs.

Unlike the Power Splitter which was unveiled back last year, which allowed users to actually power two systems from a single PSU, the new Power Combo device combines two PSUs to power a single system.

This will allow users to actually combine two PSUs with lower power output, instead of buying a beefier PSU, as long as they have enough space in the case.

The Power Combo also allows users to make a redundant power supply as it actually prevents the system from shutting down when one power supply fails. It also features a unique soft start circuit that limits the inrush current to help improve stability and reduce transient voltage drops.

The Power Combo s fully compatible with mini-ITX, mATX, ATX, and E-ATX motherboards and it should appeal to a wide range of users, especially extreme overclockers looking to add a bit more power to their overclocking setups.

The new Power Combo will be available sometime this month with a price of €39.90.
