As promised yesterday, AMD has now officially released an updated Radeon Software Crimson Edition driver with Radeon Software 15.11.1 drivers which should fix fan issues noticed on certain Radeon graphics cards.
As we wrote yesterday, the original AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition had issues with fixed fan settings which forced some Radeon graphics cards to overheat, freeze, crash or even damaged and broken in some cases.
AMD also noted that the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition drivers have been downloaded 2.5 million times which is quite an impressive number.
In addition to a fixed fan speed issues on certain graphics cards, AMD has also managed to add a few game-specific updates to the new Radeon Software 15.11.1 drviers, including resolved issues in plenty of new games like Star Wars: Battlefront, Just Cause 3, Fallout 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 as well as some fixed issues with AMD Overdrive, Radeon Settings and more.
As it was the case with the original Radeon Software Crimson Edition driver, the new updated one is also available for Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 OS in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions and support all AMD Radeon graphics cards since Radeon HD 7700+ series, as well as AMD APUs based on those same GPUs.
