Zotac has expanded its Zbox mini-PC lineup with two new additions, both based on Intel's 14nm Braswell platform, the Zbox BI323 and the Zbox CI323 nano.
Both new Zbox mini-PCs are based on Intel's Celeron N3150 Braswell SoC with quad-core CPU part, base clock of 1.6GHz, 2.08GHz Turbo clock, 2MB of L2 cache, Intel HD graphics, 6W TDP and support for up to 8GB DDR3L memory.
The rest of the specifications on both systems include support for up to 8GB of DDR3L-1600 memory in two slots, one 2.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD port, VGA, DisplayPort and HDMI outputs, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0, 3-in-1 card reader and a couple of USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, including USB Type-C.
While the specifications on both systems might be the same, the difference between the Zbox BI323 and the Zbox CI323 nano is in their form-factor and size. The Zotac BI323 has a more narrower but larger chassis and cools the SoC with an active fan.
The Zbox CI323 nano on the other hand is generally smaller but also thicker and is passively cooled.
Unlike some earlier Zotac Zbox mini-PCs, the two new Zbox BI323 and the Zbox CI323 nano will be available in three versions, as a barebone, without memory, storage and OS, as a Plus version with 4GB of memory and 120GB SSD and as a Windows 10 Home version, with 2GB of memory and a 32GB M.2 SSD with pre-installed Windows 10 Home OS.
Zotac did not announce any details regarding the price but we suspect that barebone versions could land in the US $200 price range.
