Rainbow Six: Siege does not have a campaign

No story campaign in the game

It appears that Rainbow Six: Siege won't have a classic single-player story campaign and be heavily focused on multiplayer.

During an EGX 2015 panel, Art Director Scott Mitchell said to PCGamesN that "there is no story mode per se. You go through training, where you get to experience different operators and their devices. You can play against enemy AI in co-op through all the maps."

According to this, the single-player experience will be serving just as a training ground and and also add to an overall progression in the game since you will be unlocking new content that you can later use in the multi-player game.

Scott Mitchell also added that you can always play maps against AI opponents, but these won't have any traditional story.

Rainbow Six: Siege is scheduled to launch on December 1st for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC. In case you missed it, multi-player beta of the game has started few days ago.
