Deus Ex: Mankind Divided to have DirectX 12 support
According to AMD
While we still do not have a precise date for the launch of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided game, other than sometime in 2016, it appears that it will have DirectX 12 support at launch, at least according to AMD.
According to a report from Tweaktown.com, citing Richard Huddy, AMD's Chief Gaming Scientist, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided game will have DirectX 12 support at launch. In addition to DirectX 12 support, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will also include some of AMD's own technologies, like TressFX Hair 3.0.
It was obvious that the game will get DirectX 12 support as AMD is quite eager to push as many games as possible, but it was believed that the game will launch with DirectX 11 support and later be patched for DirectX 12 support. Thankfully, it appears that AMD's push is paying off and Nixxes will implement DirectX 12 support from day one.
According to the same report, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will also include a built-in benchmark that will make both testing and spotting differences between DirectX 12 and DirectX 11 quite easy.
Deus Ex: Mankind is definitely one of the big game titles coming next year and this is a big win for AMD.
