While previously available in capacities of up to 1TB, it appears that Samsung is preparing 2TB versions of the 850 EVO and 850 Pro SSDs that have been spotted listed online.
According to the listed details, it appears that these will have the same specifications as the previous versions and the performance should be the same. To be precise, the specifications of the 850 EVO are pretty much copied from the 500GB version.
In case you missed it, you will be looking at up to 550MB/s sequential read and up to 520MB/s sequential write performance and up to 100k and up to 90k 4K random read and write performance for the 850 Pro 2TB version and up to 540MB/s sequential read and up to 520MB/s sequential write with up to 98k IOPS read and up 90k IOPS write 4k random performance for the 850 EVO 2TB version.
It is most likely that both version will end up wit 1024MB of DRAM cache, just as 1TB versions.
The price of the Samsung 850 EVO 2TB starts at €796 while the Samsung 850 Pro 2TB is listed at €935. While these are not yet officially announced, we expect an official Samsung announcement soon.
