According to our sources, AMD's upcoming flagship Radeon Fury X graphics card should be available as of June 24th.
In case you missed it earlier, report suggest that AMD should launch its entire Radeon 300 series lineup at a dedicated event on June 16th and according to our sources, the flagship Radeon Fury X graphics card should be available on June 24th.
According to the latest report, the Radeon Fury X, based on Fiji XT GPU, will pack 4096 Stream Processors, 64 GCN Compute Units (CUs), 128 ROPs, 256 TMUs and 4GB of HBM on a 4096-bit memory interface. The GPU will be clocked at 1050MHz+ while an effective memory clock will be 1GHz, providing 512GB/s of memory bandwidth.
Our sources also suggest that we should expect limited availability as it will be quite hard mostly due to the new High Bandwidth Memory and interposer technology which stacks the memory next to GPU.
Unfortunately, AMD is still quiet regarding the price and according to our sources, it still did not finalize the price of its flagship Fury X graphics card and will probably keep that piece of information for the announcement.
Reviews of the Radeon Fury X should be free of NDA on June 24th but we should at least see some AMD benchmarks during the launch.
