Back last year, when Apple officially unveiled and announced the Apple Watch, the company promised that the device will be released early this year and while earlier rumors suggested March as the launch month, it appears that Apple needs a bit more time as the Apple Watch will be available in April, at least if you believe Apple's CEO, Tim Cook.
Apple has just
announced it financial report with a record earning quarter and during that same earnings call, Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, revealed that the Apple Watch will be shipping in April. Earlier, analysts have predicted that the Apple Watch will ship in March, but Tim Cook has crushed all hopes that the device will be on any arm before April.
When asked about the launch date and the fact that "early next year" usually suggested the first quarter, Tim Cook replied that the April launch date is "sort of within the range" and "basically when we thought".
Unfortunately, Tim Cook still did not reveal any specific date or any further details regarding the pricing. As announced last year, the Apple Watch will start at US $349, but since it is already known that there will be multiple versions, it is anyones guess on how expensive will other versions be.
In any case, the Apple Watch will be shipping in April, which gives Apple enough time to fix the rumored lousy battery life of the device,
reported by 9to5mac.com, and estimated at around 2.5 to 4 hours of active application use and 19 hours of active/passive use.
