While both EVGA and Vince "K|NGP|N" Lucido have already teased the upcoming high-end Geforce GTX 980 Classified K|NGP|N Edition earlier, we can now check out the first real pictures of that same graphics card as well as the new EVGA GTX 970 FTW Edition, which were both showcased during CES 2015 show in Las Vegas.
Techpowerup.com had a chance to stop by EVGA's suite at CES 2015 and get a quick hands on with the new flagship single-GPU EVGA Geforce GTX 980 Classified K|NGP|N Edition as well as the new EVGA GTX 970 FTW graphics cards. Earlier, we also had a chance
to see EVGA's latest GTX 980 HydroCopper graphics card.
As expected, the new EVGA Geforce GTX 980 Classified K|NGP|N Edition features a new version of EVGA's ACX 2.0 cooler, clear acrylic cutouts on the shroud and is based on a rather unique custom PCB design.
According to
Techpowerup.com, the EVGA Geforce GTX 980 Classified K|NGP|N Edition will be based on a 10-phase VRM and need two 8-pin and one 6-pin PCI-Express power connectors, a defrosting circuit for LN2 cooling as well as all other features mostly aimed at hardcore overclockers. Unfortunately, EVGA still did not finalize precise clocks for the new high-end graphics card or reveal a date for its official launch so we will have to wait for it a bit longer.
In addition to the EVGA Geforce GTX 980 Classified K|NGP|N Edition, EVGA also displayed the new EVGA GTX 970 FTW graphics cards, which has a stronger VRM part powered by 6+8-pin PCI-Express power connectors, standard ACX 2.0 cooler and a backplate that will provide rigidity and additional cooling for memory chips placed on the back.
Hopefully, EVGA will soon officially announce both these graphics cards as we already had a chance
to see the new EVGA GTX 970 SSC.
