Patriot has unveiled a second generation of its well known SuperSonic Magnum and Supersonic Rage USB 3.0 flash drives that will provide higher transfer speeds and be available in some rather impressive capacities.
The first in line is the Patriot Supersonic Magnum 2, which will be available in capacities of 256GB and 512GB and provide impressive transfer speeds of up to 400MB/s and 300MB/s. As it was the case with the previous generation, the new Supersonic Magnum 2 will also use sturdy matte black, industrial grade metal chassis with shock resistance and detachable cap cover that should prevent damage and protect the USB 3.0 port.
On the other hand, the Patriot Supersonic Rage 2 is the companies highest performing, ultra portable USB 3.0 flash driver providing transfer speeds of up to 400MB/s for read and up to 300MB/s for write. It will be available in 128GB and 256GB capacities and feature a compact form factor chassis.
Both the Supersonic Magnum 2 and the Supersonic Rage 2 USB 3.0 flash drives from Patriot are expected to be available in February. Unfortunately, Patriot did not shed any details regarding the price.
