AMD has kicked off CES 2015 show with a new announcement of the "FreeSync ecosystem", or basically, five manufacturers that will be showing off their FreeSync monitors at the CES 2015 show in Las Vegas.
The lineup includes BenQ, LG, Nixeus, Samsung and Viewsonic that will have a total of seven monitors with different size, resolution and maximum refresh rate, but all with support for AMD's FreeSync technology. The list starts off with BenQ XL2703Z 27-inch model that will have a QHD 2560x1440 resolution and maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. LG came to show with two similar monitors, the 29UM67 and the 34UM67 both with 2560x1080 resolution at 75Hz but different 29-inch and 34-inch size.
The list also includes the Nixeus NX-VUE24 24-inch 1080p monitor with 144Hz refresh rate as well as two previously detailed Samsung monitors, the UE590 and the UE850 that will be available in various sizes with resolution of up to UHD/4K at 60Hz. The last but not the least is the 27-inch Viewsonic VX2701mh with 1080p resolution at 144Hz.
In case you missed it previously, FreeSync is AMD's way of reducing input latency and visual defects during gaming and video playback by synchronizing dynamic refresh rates of the monitor with the frame rate on recent AMD's Radeon graphics cards and APUs.
According to AMD, these models are expected to be available on the market as of this month while additional models are expected in early 2015.
