MSI releases new X99S SLI Krait motherboard

With black and white color scheme

MSI has unveiled a new version of its well known X99S SLI Plus motherboard that will feature a plain black and white design, a color choice that will most likely end up to be the most popular motherboard for future themed/modding projects, the MSI X99S SLI Krait Edition.

Similar to the original X99S SLI Plus motherboard, the new Krait Edition will feature a beefier 12-phase VRM as well as Audio Boost audio hardware and, of course, Military Class 4 components.

It still features LGA 2011-3 socket with eight DDR4 slots for quad-channel memory configuration as well as four PCI-Express x16 3.0 slots, two PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots, SATA Express port, eight SATA ports, Turbo M.2 slot and plenty of USB 3.0, USB 2.0 ports and standard audio jacks with optical output.

MSI's original X99S SLI Plus motherboard has been getting some impressive review scores and we are sure that X99S SLI Krait Edition will not be far behind, especially considering the preferred color scheme for modding and themed projects.

While MSI did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date, the X99S SLI Krait Edition is expected on retail/e-tail shelves soon with a price set at somewhere between US $250 and US $300.
