We have already seen it listed in the USA, but so far, Samsung still have not officially announced its newest Samsung 850 EVO SSD lineup. Thankfully, couple of European retailers/e-tailers have listed the new Samsung 850 EVO lineup and gave us some more details regarding the price and actual specifications.
While
the USA listings were less informative but did give us a general idea regarding the price of the Samsung 850 EVO SSD lineup,
these new European listings shed a bit more light on the actual specifications, although the precise performance figures are still unknown. According to new European listings, Samsung's 850 EVO will be based on 3D V-NAND (TLC Toggle) NAND and feature 256MB to 1024MB of cache, depending on the model, and AES 256 encryption.
The Samsung 850 EVO lineup will be available in 120GB, 250GB, 500GB and 1TB capacities. While Samsung 840 EVO was also available in 750GB version, it is possible that Samsung will bring introduce such capacity for 850 EVO at a later date.
The highest priced Samsung 850 EVO 1TB packs 1024MB of cache and is currently listed in Europe at €439. The 500 and 256GB versions pack 512MB of cache and are listed at €245 and €142, respectively. The entry-level 120GB version has 256MB of cache and its price starts at €102.
Of course, bear in mind that these prices are probably not final and could change as Samsung officially launches the new 850 EVO lineup so we will certainly keep our eyes on the market.
