As you may already know, Google has finally and officially unveiled its new Google Android 5.0 Lolipop OS and while it did say that most recent Nexus and Google Play Edition devices will get the update "in the coming weeks", it did not share any specific details. According to a new report, it appears that Google Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 are first devices in line to get the update.
While Google certainly scored a big plus in our book by announcing that most recent Nexus, including the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 10, and Google Play Edition devices will be getting the new update, the company did not reveal any precise details.
According to a fresh report from
AndroidPolice.com, Google's Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 WiFi-only devices will be the first to get the new update, on November 3rd. This is actually the same day when Nexus 9 is expected to ship out to those that have pre-ordered it.
The rest of the devices, including the Google Play Edition smartphones, Nexus 4, Nexus 5 as well as the Nexus 7 LTE model, will get the update later in November. While we do not know the precise date, this is still a bit more precise than earlier "in the coming weeks".
