ASUS has launched a newest gaming mini-PC under its recognizable Republic of Gamers gaming brand, the GR8 Gaming Mini-PC. Packed tightly in a 2.5L case, the ASUS ROG GR8 should still pack quite a punch since it is based on Intel's Core i7 CPU paired up with well known Nvidia Maxwell GTX 750 Ti graphics card.


As noted, ASUS Republic of Gamers GR8 gaming mini-PC is based on Intel's Core i7-4510U 22nm Haswell mobile dual-core CPU working at 2.0GHz base and 3.1GHz Turbo clocks, 4MB of L3 cache and integrated HD 4400 GPU. The already impressive CPU, for such a small 2.5L case at least, is paired up with the well known Nvidia Maxwell Geforce GTX 750 Ti graphics card with 2GB of GDDR5 memory.




The rest of the specifications include support for up to 16GB of DDR3-1600 memory in two SO-DIMM memory slots, choice between a 1TB 7200RPM HDD or 256GB SSD (with 100GB of ASUS WebStorage one-year free), dual-band 802.11ac WiFi, Intel Gigabit LAN, couple of USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, as well as plenty of ROG-exclusive features including SupremeFX audio, Sonic SoundStage, SenseAmp, Studio and Sonic Radar II, GameFirst III and Miracast Reciever.

In order to make it ready, as much as possible at least, for gaming, ASUS ships the ROG GR8 with an optional M810 gaming mechanical keyboard and ROG Gladius gaming mouse.




The precise dimensions of the ASUS ROG GR8 are set at 238 x 245 x 60 mm (2.5L) and it weighs 1.28Kg. It also ships with Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.1 Pro OS.

ASUS targets both the living room gamers as well as those that are attending LAN parties since the ROG GR8 is both cool enough to be proud of it in your living room and also portable enough to carry it around.

Unfortunately, ASUS did not reveal any details regarding the actual price or the availability date for the new ASUS ROG GR8 gaming mini-PC but we will surely keep an eye on it.
