Lately, there have been quite a few news and rumors regarding the new device from Motorola, named the Shamu, which should be the new successor of the Moto X. According to first details, the Shamu will be the first device coming from Motorola with the name Nexus.
Motorola's Shamu uses a 5.9-inch display with a 1440 x 2560 Quad HD resolution, which is higher than the previously seen Moto X. Regarding the internal components, it will use a Snapdragon 805 SoC with 3GB of RAM and a 3200 mAh battery. Compared with the 2300 mAh battery in the Moto X, this is quite an upgrade.
Regarding the camera, Motorola's Shamu has a rear 12-megapixel camera able to record video in 4K and a front 2-megapixel one that should be enough for selfies. At the moment we do not know the exact date of the launch but it will probably arrive in late October or early November when Google is expected to launch its new Android L OS.
