Gigabyte has launched a new entry-level ATX motherboard based on Intel's H97 Express chipset that brings a mix of legacy and modern connectivity which will make it perfect for office desktop upgrades, the Gigabyte H97-DS3H.
Based on standard ATX form-factor, the Gigabyte H97-DS3H features a standard 2+1-phase CPU VRM which draws power from 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors. It also feature four DDR3 DIMM memory slots, one PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot as well as singe PCI-Express 2.0 x16 (electrical x4), two PCI-Express 2.0 x1 and single PCI slot.
The rest of the specifications and features include six SATA 6Gbps ports, DVI, D-Sub and HDMI outputs, PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports, COM and LPT headers, Gigabit Ethernet, 5.1-channel audio, four USB 3.0 ports (two via header), bunch of USB 2.0 ports and UEFI BIOS with dual-UEFI BIOS redundancy.
The new Gigabyte H97-DS3H motherboard should hit retail/e-tail pretty soon with a price tag below US $100.
