Plantronics presents two gaming headsets

The new RIG Flex and Surround

Plantronics is not new on the gaming headset market. They already tried with the GameCom headset lineup, and today the unveiled two new products: we are talking about the RIG Flex and the RIG Surround gaming headsets.

The gaming peripherals market is huge, and it's quite difficult to presents product with distinctive features. Plantronics succeded in this task, and they decided to unveil their new products during the GamesCom, which is taking place in Cologne, Germany.



As the name might suggest, the RIG Flex is a comfortable and light headset, easy to carry when you're out. The headset features an integrated microphone and 40mm drivers, offering a good comfort to the user even when you use the headset for a long time. The most interesting aspect about this headset is the microphone: it is integrated into the cable, which is removable and can be switched with another cable with integrated microphone, to be used on smartphones and tablets. The new RIG Flex will be available by the end of the year for 79.99€.



As far as the RIG Surround are concerned, they are actually quite similar, but they feature an USB base that adds a great number of features. Inside the base there's a USB audio card so that you can enjoy the virtual Surround 7.1 and regulate sounds as you pleace. If you like, you can keep listening to MP3 while you are playing or making a phone call on your smartphone. This model should be available by the end of the year for 99.99€.
