It appears ADATA is the first memory maker launching DDR4 overclocking memory. The new modules will be suitable for Haswell-E based systems which will be the first desktop computers to support DDR4 memory.
Jumping to the specs of these modules we find an operating voltage, which is a low a 1.2V. Compare to the predecessor that’s a 20 percent reduction, making the modules more energy efficient. Other than that these modules are specified to work at DDR4-2800MHz with CL 17-17-17 timings. With these setting and powered by a quad-channel memory interface about 22 Gigabyte per second memory bandwidth should be hit. ADATA also provided these modules with aggressive looking heatspreaders, which are made from red anodized aluminum.
For now there is not additional information on when the modules will be available and how much they will cost. We’re sure these bits and pieces will be disclosed when Intel finally launches their upcoming Haswell-E HEDT platform.
