It appears MSI is on some kind of “teasing spree”. Just a few days ago the motherboard board maker uploaded a few nice pics of their upcoming X99S SLI Plus high-end motherboard and this time they are making noise about the X99S Gaming 9 AC, which might be their flagship gaming model.
One thing that becomes clear instantly is, that MSI has been working hard on designing and also crafting a high-end board with stunning looks. The X99S Gaming 9 AC is definitely leaving an impression when it comes to sheer beauty with a motherboard.
In on the feature side, we find this board support Intels upcoming Haswell-E Core i7 processors alongside of DDR4 memory. There is a total of eight DIMM slots, there are five PCI Express 3.0 x16 ports supporting 4-way SLI as well as 4-way CrossFireX, there are eight SATA 6Gbps ports and you also find SATA Express as well as M.2. Looking for additional features the board comes bundled with 802.11ac WiFi, a Killer E2200 Gigabit ethernet chip, eight (or maybe even more) USB 3.0 ports as well as features tailored to the needs of overclockers.
The MSI X99S Gaming 9 AC appears to be a really interesting high-end motherboard and we’re certainly curious to find out more about the flagship model and what it can actually do.
