Kingston launches new storage for handhelds

DataTraveler microDuo 3.0 and Class 10 microSD card

Kingston has unveiled two new storage products aimed to be used with handhelds, the DataTraveler microDuo 3.0 USB OTG device as well as the new Class 10 UHS-I 90R/45W microSDHC/SDXC card.

The new Kingston DataTraveler microDuo 3.0 is USB OTG device which enables host functionality in certain phones/tablets with microUSB ports and allows you to easily transfer files between smartphone or tablet to your PC. It uses USB 3.0 microUSB to USB connection, will be available in 16, 32 and 64GB capacities and has ultra-small, pocket-sized design for easy transportability.

The new Kingston's lass 10 UHS-I microSDHC/SDXC will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities and offer transfer speeds of 90MB/s read and 45MB/s write making it suitable for high quality video recording on recently released handheld devices.

The Kingston DataTraveler microDuo 3.0 will be backed by a five year warranty while the new class 10 UHS-I microSDHC/SDXC will be backed by a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, Kingston did not reveal any details regarding the actual availability date or the price.
