NVIDIA with 331.89 drivers for GNU/Linux

Also for FreeBSD and Solaris

Despite the fact, that market share of open source operating systems is not that high, NVIDIA is realeasing driver updates every now and then. Meanwhile their GeForce driver is available in version 331.89.

We guess that also the number of our readers, that make extensive use of Linux distributions, is very limited. But still, should you be using Linux distributions, then you will be happy about the fact, that NVIDIA has released a new driver, since sometimes it can be quite annoying if there is no proper driver support for Linux on certain cards.

The latest NVIDIA driver for Linux now supports the GTX 730 and the green fraction also removed quite a few bugs. Other than that there is already compatibility to the X.org server in version 1.16, which should be released during second half of this year.
