While Google did not reveal much details regarding the LG G Watch during its Google I/O 2014 press event, LG was more than happy to announce all the details just after the keynote was over so we now finally have all the official details including the price, availability as well as the official hardware specifications of the first LG Android Wear smartwatch.
The most important are the specifications and according to LG, the LG G Watch is built around a 1.65-inch 280x280 always-on LCD IPS screen. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 400 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz and paired up with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. The precise dimensions are set at 37.9x46.5x9.95mm and it weighs 64g. It is IP67-certified which makes it water resistant and packs a 400mAh battery.
According to LG, the LG G Watch can already be pre-ordered from the Google Play Store and will be priced at US $229. The pre-ordered smartwatches will be shipped around July 7th and it will be available in the United States, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Korea and Japan for now, while the availability in other 27 markets such as Australia, Brazil, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore and Russia is expected in near future.
It will be available in White Gold and Black Titan color choices and will go against Samsung's Gear Live smartwatch, since both have a similar design.
