Ubisoft had a history of delaying the PC version of its popular games, including the Assassin's Creed serial but according to recent interview, the company apparently plans to release the Assassin's Creed: Unity on all platforms at the same time.
The information comes from a recent interview with games producer Lesley Phord-Toy, who said that “We’re always aiming to ship all our games on all platforms at the same time. “I don’t have any specific news on the PC version of Assassin’s Creed Unity, but I do know we’re planning on shipping on all three platforms, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. I haven’t heard any news differently than that."
He also added that the company is "very confident" that it will be able to ship to all platform on the same date. According to the same interview, Phord-Toy added that porting a game to the PC can be very challenging as it has different hardware configurations.
In any case, we certainly hope that they will be able to launch the PC version on the same date. As announced during the E3 2014 press conference, the Assassin's Creed: Unity will come worldwide on 28th of October.
