Corsair AX1500i gets 80Plus Titanium certification

Over 94 percent efficiency at 50 percent load

Corsair's new upcoming flagship power supply unit, the 1500W AX1500i, which was previously showcased back at CES, has been qualified for the 80Plus Titanium efficiency rating, according to a report from Expreview.com.

The 80Plus Titanium is what all PSU manufacturers hold as the holy grail and sits well above the 80Plus Platinum efficiency rating. The upcoming Corsair AX1500i will have 91.23% efficiency at 10% load, 92.63% efficiency at 20% load, 94.04% efficiency at 50% load, and 91.34% efficiency at 100% load, which means that it will stay above 90 percent no matter the amount of load.

The AX1500i will be fully modular and offer quite a few power connectors including possibility to drive 4-way Crossfire and 4-way SLI system builds, and do it without any high strain on the load diagram. It also supports Corsair's LINK which allows you to control and monitor PSU details.

The Corsair AX1500i is expected to hit retail/e-tail shelves sometime later this year with a price set at around US $450.
