AMD releases Radeon Software 16.9.1 drivers

Brings optimizations for Deus Ex in DX12

AMD has released its latest Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.9.1 drivers which bring all the optimizations for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided in DirectX 12 mode as well as fixes some issues.

Supporting all AMD Radeon graphics cards, starting with the Radeon HD 7700/HD 7900 series and available for Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 OS, in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.9.1 brings all the optimizations for the recently released DirectX 12 patch for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided game.

It also includes a new AMD Crossfire profile for Dota 2 in DirectX 11 and fixes some previously spotted issues including problems with 144Hz non-FreeSync displays, issues with FreeSync staying enabled and causing flickering on desktop and some issues seen with Radeon Settings and Radeon Software.

It also fixes issues seen in games like Grand Theft Auto V, DiRT Rally, DOOM and Total War: Warhammer as well as issues seen on RX 400 series and some other graphics cards with high GPU usage when resumed from sleep or after running SteamVR benchmark.

There are still plenty of known issues but at least DirectX 12 support for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is now available although the game support for that API is still in its beta phase.

As always, you can check out the full release notes as well as download the latest Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.9.1 drivers over at the AMD support page via link below.
