While its LG
Watch R might be holding its ground well on the smart
watch market, LG will unveil a premium smart
watch at MWC 2015, the LG
Watch Urbane.
While it will mostly be based on the same specification as the LG G
Watch R, including the same 1.3-inch P-OLED 320x320 resolution screen, same 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage space, same 410mAh battery and dust and water IP67 resistance, it will have narrower bezel, thinner profile and come with an all-metal body with gold and silver finish.
The rest of the features include a standard 22mm stitched leather strap and photoplethysmography sensor that measures heart rate and pulse, Always-On ambient mode shows the time on the display at all times in dimmed mode thus saving battery life and expected Android Wear OS.
We are looking forward to see it live at the MWC 2015 show in Barcelona when LG is expected to announce the rest of the details, including the price and the availability date for different regions.
