| Fusion Thermo | In case of the Maximus V Formula ASUS wanted to offer their customers something special when it comes to cooling. Therefore they decided to not only connect the VRM coolers with a heatpipe, they also put a water cooling chamber on top of the heatpipe. On both ends you find big connectors to securely attach water tubes. |

| Supreme FX | With Supreme FX, ASUS provides their Maximus V Formula with beefed up Audio. The audio solution itself is based upon an Analog Devices AD1988B Audio Codec. But what makes the Supreme FX special is for example the fact that it has been isolated from all the other components on the motherboard. Through this measure electrical interference could be reduced. On the audio chip you can also find an EMI shield. Furthermore there is a big 1500uF capacitor which helps improving dynamic range. |
