EK-DCP 2.2 X-Res Reservoir and Pump

Regarding the reservoir, EK is using a unit, which has been made from POM Acetal. Thanks to the fact, that the reservoir has been very well manufactured, all parts fit perfectly. Nevertheless you should be aware, that this reservoir is only compatible with EK's DPC 2.2 pump. A closer look at the pump shows that it is able to move 400 liters of water within one hour. If you consider the compact size as well as the very low operating noise, then this is quite a good result. When checking the threads we once again find G1/4 inch connections. Also included in delivery is mounting material as well as anti-vibration feet.

Fittings and tubing

When it comes to tubings EK provides EPDM tubes with an outer diameter of 16 millimeter and an inner diameter of 10 millimeters. EK promises that these tubes are made to withstand harsh conditions, such as high temperatures, UV as well as ozone. Although with its industrial looks it might not be everybodies darling, but those tubes certainly are hassle-free.
Regarding the fittings EK uses EK-CSQ 10/16mm 1/4 inch one, which are made from nickel plated metal. Those fittings offer great looks and thanks to the fact that they are quite big it's easy to tighten tubings without the need of a gripper.

Fan

A closer look at the fans, reveals that EK puts EK-labeled models in the delivery. These fans feature 1600 rpm at 12 volt and a diameter of 120 millimeter. Furthermore there is a 3-pin plugs, which means you'll have to adjust rotation speeds using a fan controller or voltage adapters. At 12 volt the fans are well audible and especially, when their being used with a watercooling kit, like it's the case here, we recommend driving them at 7 volt. Once provided with 7 volt, the noise is very silent which means that we had to move our ears right next to the fan to hear a silent noise.
