According to the latest rumors, NVIDIA could do a paper lunch already during the Game Developers' Conference (GDC), which is scheduled for February 28.

More details

A few days ago AMD's Ryzen stock coolers have appeared online, showcasing their new cooler design. According to the latest reports from Videocardz, one of them might use Intel-style push-pins and the second one comes with a different retention kit. The coolers are capable of removing either 95 or 140 Watts of TDP depending on the model.


Good for workstations and NAS

According to a leak on ASUS’s official site, the upcoming AM4 Prime X370-Pro might be compatible with ECC memory at launch. Furthermore the default DDR4 memory speed is set to 2666 MHz. This new feature seems to be exclusive to AMD's Ryzen CPUs since A-series APUs and the Athlon chips are only compatible with non-ECC DDR4 2400 MHz by default.

On the official OCZ Deutschland Facebook page there are the first guidelines for their upcoming OCZ Cup #1, which is going to start on February 22. The tournament is based on the Blizzard's game Hearthstone and 64 players are required. Hearthstone is a free-to-play online card game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment.

During AMD’s Meet the Experts webinar, ASUS has unveiled several details on their upcoming socket AMD AM4 300-series motherboards. Thanks to a video from Sean of KWASTEK, we can finally see more details on the upcoming ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero motherboard.


Almost as fast as an Intel Core i7-6850K

Another set of benchmarks on AMD’s Ryzen CPUs has hit the surface. This time it looks like the hexa-core AMD 5 1600X has been tested. According to the latest rumors, this model should features 6 core, 12 thread and a TDP of 95W. The Ryzen 5 1600X should belong to the "Black Edition" series with a street price of $259 US.


Compatible with Intel and Nvidia products

A few months ago during, Computex 2016, Phanteks has given a first glimpse at their upcoming water cooling products. Now, several months later, Phanteks releases their Glacier series of CPU and GPU water blocks, supporting a wide range of custom GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards as well as Intel CPUs.

MSI has launched a full range of NVIDIA Pascal based mini-ITX graphics cards which are based on their Aero design. The new mini-ITX series offers three new cards: GeForce GTX 1070, GeForce GTX 1060 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Each model is available in more than one version. This way MSI is going to offer a mini-ITX graphics for any kind of SFF PC.

A few new scores from Naruto80

During the past weeks and months plenty of new scores popped up on HWBot, which showed the overclocking potential of Intel’s Kaby Lake processors. Our teams overclocker Davide "Naruto80" Zilli, supported by RULE and Pixy, has managed to overclock the new high-end mainstream CPU from Intel reaching very respectable frequencies and scores. Davide has tested the new CPU on three benchmarks using several liters of liquid nitrogen.

40% increase expected

If you’ve been looking for new DRAM for your rig during the past months you might have noticed that prices were on the rise continuously. TrendForce has now published their quarterly report explaining the different factors that contribute to this development.

According to latest reports, AMD Ryzen samples have been sent out to reviewers a few days ago. HWBattle has now shown a picture where you can see such a CPU LN2 cooled. Therefore it could be that already at launch day there might be extreme overclocking scores available when the new chips launch.

AMD Ryzen launch is pretty close

AMD has announced they’re going to hold a new Webinar event that will take place on February 22nd. This event is going to be streamed through Adobe Connect Meeting Room, while the host is Eric Allen, Channel Marketing Specialist for AMD. According to latest reports, it looks like AMD will show AM4-based motherboards from ASRock and Biostar during the event.
