The fastest GeForce graphics card around

NVIDIA is going to launch the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card today since yesterday there are already the first reviews out. Several tech sites have tested NVIDIA’s flagship graphics card and it looks like the performance is great. The new GeForce GTX 1080 Ti can be bought for about the same price as the GTX 1080 when it was launched one year. So far it looks like, compared to the GTX 1080, there is a 35 to 40% performance improvement and this card is perfect if you want to play AAA titles at 4K/UHD.


More game optimisations

Following the launch of the GTX 1080 Ti NVIDIA releases a new driver supporting the new graphics card. Furthermore the GeForce 378.78 WHQL driver adds some DirectX 12 optimisations for Tom Clancy's The Division. To create this driver NVIDIA has been working with the developers of a wide range of DirectX 12 titles, according to NVIDIA, gamers should receive higher performance using the new API.


Based on the AMD B350 chipset

A few days ago Biostar has unveiled several new AMD AM4 300-series motherboards. Now the company is proud to introduce even more B350 motherboards. Biostar is one of the first to show an almost full AM4 lineup and we hope to see more models from other companies soon as well.

An upgraded Z270 Gaming M5

The new MSI Z270 Gaming M6 AC is basically an upgrade of the Z270 Gaming M5. This new motherboard is based on the same design and I/O panel. The main difference comparing these two models is the Intel AC capable Wi-Fi including antennas. Furthermore MSI ships the Z270 Gaming M6 AC bundled with Phanteks RGB LED strips.


Small yet big upgrade!

EK Water Blocks have shown their upcoming Acetal and Plexi EK-XTOP Revo D5 PWM pump units. Both are now available with sleeved cables, which helps polishing the aesthetics significantly. The power cable and the PWM signal cable are now wrapped with a dense, black, high-quality PET sleeving.


With modular design

A few weeks ago be quiet! announced their Pure Base 600. Meanwhile, after having released the base model, be quiet! is coming up with the Pure Base 600 Window, which is a rather small mid-tower chassis that’s been made from SECC steel and ABS plastic. Like the name suggests, this case features a big and detachable tempered glass side panel.

Inno3D has launched two new graphics cards which are based on the new flagship chip from NVIDIA. Right after the announcement of the GTX 1080 Ti iChill X3 and X4, Inno3D unveils two additional graphics cards. The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GAMING OC and the Twin X2. Both models feature a reference design and a custom heatsink.


A good year for Toshiba

According to a new report from IDC, 2016 has been a good year for Toshiba's storage division. The company reports growth in revenue, units sold and market share regarding hard disks as well as solid-state drives. According to Toshiba themselves, they’ve grown faster than any other storage vendor.

Entry-level SSDs

PNY has shown their new CS1311b series of SSDs based on 3D TLC-NAND Flash memory. With the CS1311b series PNY offers a unit based on a Phison S11 controller, which is an updated version of the Phison S10 controller, whereas the older version could be found in the PNY CS1311 series SSDs. All the new drives features a 2.5 inch package.


First custom GTX 1080 Ti from Gigabyte

Gigabyte already has a wide portfolio when it comes to graphics cards but that didn’t stop them from teasing yet another model. The new card is going to belong to the new AORUS line, and goes by the name "GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AORUS Xtreme Edition" and it’s supposed to perform excellently.


More game optimisations

Following the launch of AMD’s ReLive 17.2.1 Beta drivers there is already a new Beta update available. This release is supposed to bring performance improvements to a few games as well as optimizations for Ghost Recon Wildlands, Battlefield 1 and For Honor.


MicroATX motherboard

Looking at the Z270 line-up from ASUS quite a few things have change compared to the past and one of those things is the “ROG STRIX” series. There is now a complete lineup of STRIX Gaming motherboards and one of those is the ROG STRIX Z270G Gaming, which features a microATX form factor and a new design as well as RGB lighting.


Based on Zen architecture

A few months ago AMD first showed its Naples platform which is a new high-performance server CPU that is based on the same Zen architecture as its recently released Ryzen chips. The Naples CPU packs up to 32 cores and dual CPU support under the heat spreader. If installed in a two-socket server, it supports up to 4TB of DDR4 memory.

A small overview

With the upcoming socket AM4, AMD is going to change the mounting holes. Quite a few manufacturers have already updated their own CPU cooler-series with AM4 retention kits, offering cost-free or cheap upgrade. The socket AM4 is going to support Bristol-Ridge APUs as well as Ryzen CPUs based on the upcoming Zen architecture.


Compared side by side with TITAN X Pascal

Our friends over Techpowerup have taken a picture showing the PCB of the upcoming GTX 1080 Ti from NVIDIA. For comparison, they’ve put the naked GeForce GTX 1080 Ti next to the TITAN X Pascal, which clearly shows that those two cards are very similar.


A smaller version of the 303

A few months ago, during CES 2017, In Win has shown an early prototype of their 301 case. Meanwhile the case has been spotted on the official site and we believe that it will be available quite soon. According to the first images, the new In Win 301 looks quite similar to its bigger brother, the 303, which is compatible with ATX motherboards.
