Sapphire rolls out R9 270X Dual-X 4GB graphics card

Double the memory, double the fun

Sapphire has rolled out a new version of its Radeon R9 270X Dual-X graphics card which will feature double the standard memory at 4GB and thus meet the requirements of games like Battlefield 4.

The specifications are pretty much identical to the previously announced R9 270X Dual-X graphics card, so you are looking at custom PCB paired up with Sapphire's own Dual-X cooler and, of course, the 28nm Curacao GPU with 1280 stream processors. The only difference is that the new one comes with 4GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 5.6GHz and paired up with a standard 256-bit memory interface.

With 4GB of memory, the new Sapphire R9 270X Dual-X 4GB is expected to hit retail/e-tail shelves with US $30 to $50 premium over the US $199 priced reference design but it is, unfortunately, currently only limited to China region. Hopefully, the rest of the world will see it soon enough.
