AMD could reach 40 percent of global GPU market

In next six months

According to a report from Digitimes, citing its graphics card manufacturers sources, AMD might manage to reach 40 percent share in the global GPU market, all thanks to its recently launched Radeon R9 and Radeon R7 series of graphics cards.

Although it has just recently announced its thrid quarter financial results with a decent net profits of US $40 million, which we have not seen from AMD in a long time and despite drops in revenue across some departments, AMD might score big with its new Radeon R9 and R7 series discrete GPUs.

According to a report, it could reach 40 percent share of the global GPU market while market analysts expect that shipments of graphics cards should keep AMD afloat and even help sustain the growth in Q4.
