Gelid has announced that its Icy Vision rev 2.0 VGA cooler is compatible with recently introduced AMD Radeon R9 series graphics cards as well as Nvidia's Geforce GTX 780 and GTX 770 graphics cards making it a rather interesting solution in case you want to change the reference cooler.

Based on a unique five power heatpipes arrangement combined with 85 optimized high-quality aluminum fins and flat stack fin soldered copper base, the Icy Vision rev. 2 should do a much better job in cooling down the graphics card than any reference solution. The heatsink is combined with two 92mm UV-reactive 11-blade S-shape fans that provide 20 percent more airflow than traditional fans as well as ensure longer lifetime thanks to a high-quality ball bearing.

According to Gelid, the Icy Vision Rev 2. should be compatible with R9 290X, R9 280X, R9 270X and most likely, the upcoming R9 290 as well as Nvidia's Geforce GTX 780 and the GTX 770. It should be already available with a suggested retail price of US $55.
